Ali Haitham is a versatile artist originally from Baghdad, Iraq, who embarked on his musical journey upon arriving in Finland in 2015. With a deep passion for music and a commitment to fostering artistic connections, Ali has left an indelible mark on Finland’s vibrant cultural landscape. Ali’s compositions a collection of his Arabic and oriental compositions, which are characterized by instruments such as oud, qanun, riq, darbuka, all carefully intertwined with a string ensemble. Ali’s music explores a unique hybrid space that merges Eastern and Western instruments, rhythms, maqams, melodies, tuning systems, and approaches to harmony.

Pursued higher education at the prestigious Sibelius Academy, earning a Bachelor of Music (2020-2023) and continuing his academic journey as he pursues a Master of Music (2023-).

Middle Eastern Orchestra Created a harmonious fusion of cultures through the founding of the Middle Eastern Orchestra, delighting audiences with rich and diverse performances.

Association of Arab Artists in Finland Established the Association of Arab Artists in Finland (2017), fostering collaboration and cultural exchange within the artistic community.

Collaborated with the City of Helsinki and Interkult ry on the groundbreaking Culture Kids Project as artistic director for 7 years (2023-2030), promoting early exposure to the arts for children aged 0-7.
